Moon Diary Hair

Moon Diary Hair

This week I met a young Coolangatta resident who surfs locally and was very upset about the condition of her hair. She pointed out how it was breaking off and falling out. My normal practice is to conduct a consultation asking a series of questions and I try and delve in searching for answers.

She was convinced that the full moon was the cause. Since a full moon is only responsible four day’s every 28 days I was certain there must be another reason for her hair breaking off and looking terribly damaged.

As we got talking about her lifestyle she shared that she surfs almost every day and ties her hair up in a ponytail with an elastic band to keep the hair off her face.

Elastic Bands and Wet Hair?
Did you know hair stretches up to 70% of itself when its wet?
When the hair is wet it is in a weakened state and as she was out on her surf board for hours the hair would be drying out whilst its under pressure from the elastic band.

There are a lot of harsh elements involved and just like the importance of taking care of our skin is paramount so too is introducing a hair care regime to protect against the aggressive salt and sun which seriously dries the hair as well as removes both natural colour and artificial colour.Either way, this is no way to treat your hair if you are wanting beautiful luscious locks. There is no doubt about the value of fitness and surfing, not to mention fun but we all know that our Aussie sun leaves us worse for wear if we don’t act and use protection furthermore.

Tip: Matrix BOND ULTIME8 NO 3 is a great way to coat and protect the hair from Sun, salt and chlorine exposure.

You just apply the crème substance to wet hair.At the end of the day just shampoo the product out and what’s left is healthy shiny, soft, protected locks…
