How does one idea become fashion? To take something done before and give it a unique twist. Then there you are, you have it, you’ve created something special and no wonder it becomes the New. Everything old becomes new again. Fashion turns in cycles. Design operates that way too. Creating something unique and becoming FASHIONABLE, hair is one spectacular way of cultivating a unique expression and calling it trendy.
As a hairstylist, I love the opportunity to produce fresh ideas and be inspired by nature. Listening and learning about my guest’s individuality is fulfilling to me. It’s a thrilling experience to SEE and know that my client’s needs are felt and understood.
The runway events record in many ways history and is often a diary of genius. As artists and hair designers, we aim to deliver precisely what suits our guests, how she feels and to know what she wants. We’re talking trends and finding balance and creating to the face shape, body shape and, of course, lifestyle. And that’s what we do at our Salon.
So, before we present the colour pallet to all clients, we take a good look at what mother nature offers for the season.
Why is fashion such an important thing, and why do we depend on fashion in our life?
When we put a particular look together, we feel less stressed, more confident, and ready to take on whatever life throws at us with a smile. You probably don’t feel your best when your hair is in a messy top knot (unless you’re Elle McPherson) and wearing last night’s mascara as eyeliner smeared all over your face after a night out. However, preparing to be organised and presentable at all times can be much harder than it seems, especially when you are unsure of what you’re doing and need a bit of direction.
Dressing in alignment with styles is essential. What we wear does matter and dressing fashionably definitely makes you feel more attractive. When you learn what suits you and put together styles you love, you will feel, look, and live better every day. That’s the beauty of having a hairstylist in your corner to help guide you to your fabulous self.
Should we follow desired trends?
Keeping track of the latest styles can be dizzying enough.
But for a select few, the work does not start there. Instead, for the fashion industry’s trend forecasters and colour experts, it’s all about predicting the big themes that will appear on each season’s runway—and what will eventually end up in consumers’ closets.
Perennial favourites in fabrics or patterns will appear every spring or fall, but with a new twist. You can expect this to occur every spring. If it’s not there, the public certainly will be confused. At fashion events, forecasters from each region present their constituency’s broader social and technological trends—for example, what’s happening with the environment, and what new fabrics are available.
